Pope: "A serious deterioration of Rome"
The "serious degradation of some areas of Rome 'was denounced today by Pope Benedict XVI , in the audience for the New Year Wishes with Mayor Walter Veltroni, the city council, the president of the Regione Lazio Piero Marrazzo, and the President of the Province, Enrico Gasbarra.
