The educational project "LIM and 3D virtual worlds - a perfect match for learning to program" has been awarded a project for excellence and good practice with the IWB at the 7th International Congress Erickson, held in Rimini, a few days ago.
This is a teaching unit that I designed and built with my high school class IV and whose purpose was to introduce programming elements in the normal mathematics curriculum. The enthusiasm of the boys, almost hypnotized by the strange and new mix of LIM and the virtual world, has been crucial for me to go all the way in implementing the project and also submit it to the trial of a technical committee chaired by Prof. Antonio Calvani, a 'authority in the field.
And so I found myself among the 10 selected projects that have been invited to present their work at the conference.
I set all the way to work by using photos taken by the students themselves (two photographers) in the most significant activity.
This has made it understandable and concrete.
The appreciation that I have seen painted on the faces of colleagues, people who know you speaking, the everyday reality of living class, it gives me satisfaction and makes me continue on this path.
